What we ask you to approve
Before automation is enabled, customers need clear consent around monitoring access, battery scheduling, retailer-price exposure, and the fact that our service uses conservative override rules when conditions become uncertain.
Read-only monitoring
We use battery and site telemetry to understand SoC, usage, solar behaviour, and whether automation remains safe.
Controlled dispatch
When enabled, VPP AI may schedule charge or discharge windows within the device and tariff constraints you approve.
Protection overrides
We keep reserve buffers and can revert to a conservative mode during volatile prices, uncertain forecasts, or integration issues.
Important customer disclosures
Dynamic pricing can be volatile
- Spot-exposed tariffs can be very attractive at times and very expensive during spikes.
- Battery automation reduces exposure; it does not eliminate every risk in every interval.
- Estimated savings are indicative only and depend on site behaviour, forecasts, tariff structure, and device response.
Our operating principles
- We treat reserve protection as a core rule, not an optional feature.
- We prefer conservative dispatch when the load profile or forecast confidence is weak.
- We design around bill optimisation and protection, not speculative battery cycling.
